PREMIERE: Get A Glimpse Of Touring Life With Nautical Mile ‘Marionette’ Music Video

There must be something magical in the waters on the west coast of Australia. Every band that comes out of that side of the country just sounds so fucking good. With End of Fashion, Gyroscope, Karnivool and Carrington all hailing from Perth, the next band that we think you’ll dig is Nautical Mile. This west coast four piece are releasing their new single ‘Marionette’ tomorrow and ahead of the release, we’re giving you an exclusive sneak preview of their new music video.

The boys’ new track gives off some strong vibes of You Me At Six and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and is a slick, aggressive, post-hardcore punk belter which sheds light on dysfunctional family experiences. The band’s vocalist Brodi Owen reveals:

the particular relationship described features the aggressor attempting to mold their child into their vision of the person they want them to be with the child acting to rebel against this push. This is the inspiration for the puppetry/the marionette; the aggressor in the relationship is pulling the strings to try and force the actions of the other”.

If you’re digging Nautical Mile, be sure to grab a copy of ‘Marionette’ on your favourite streaming platform tomorrow and stay tuned for the band’s debut album The Only Way Is Through, coming this October.
