For many years, we have talked and dreamed about PANAMA PRESENTS, a limited series of events showcasing artists of exceptional quality at world-class venues in Lutruwita, Tasmania. Artists that would not ordinarily be able to come to the island state. Bands that we love and we believe you will love too.

Never ones to rush, it has taken us ten years for the right opportunity to come together. This June, a band of global significance is coming to the country, and we are proud to present them live, for one night only, at the Odeon Theatre Nipaluna/Hobart.

PANAMA PRESENTS

TINARIWEN

LIVE AT THE ODEON THEATRE

SATURDAY JUNE 8th 2024

MOB TICKETS

We’ve allocated a percentage of guest tickets for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to attend this event free of charge.

In the country for major festival performances at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid and the Forum in Melbourne for Rising Festival, Tinariwen will make their way to Lutruwita for the first time ever to share their iconic sound and culture.

In the vast expanse of the Sahara, amidst swirling sands and lives defined by war and rebellion, a musical phenomenon was born: Tinariwen. Their story is one of defiance and unyielding spirit.

In the midst of the Tuareg struggles for autonomy, a group of young men, armed with guitars instead of guns, found solace and strength in music. Born from the fires of political upheaval, Tinariwen emerged as the voice of a generation. Their melodies, echoing through the dunes, became anthems of defiance, rallying cries for a people yearning to be heard.

Tinariwen's journey transcends borders and boundaries. From the vast expanse of the Sahara to the stages of the world, their music has captivated audiences with its raw, unfiltered honesty and wild, hypnotic grooves. Tinariwen has earned global recognition, winning the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album and performing at renowned festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella.

Join us on Saturday, June 8th, for a night where time slows and the rhythms of the desert echo through the walls of the Odeon Theatre.
